Hello and welcome! I'm LaTonya Crumwell, M.Ed., LCMHC, NCC, and I’m glad you’re

here. I want to let you know that my approach to counseling is both versatile and

dedicated to meeting your unique needs. With extensive experience working with clients

from children to older adults, my focus has been on helping children, adolescents, adults,

and their families navigate their challenges. I adopt a holistic approach, considering your

thoughts, feelings, behaviors, emotions, spirituality, and relationships as we work

together. I can provide a safe and nonjudgmental space to express your thoughts and

emotions, give guidance and support in exploring your concerns, and practical tools to

cope with your challenges. Helping you to gain insight into yourself, patterns of behavior,

and the underlying causes of your struggles. Giving you strategies and skills to

implement in your life. I understand that reaching out for therapy can be a courageous

and vulnerable step. I want to assure you that my therapeutic approach is rooted in

empathy, compassion, and understanding. I genuinely care about your well-being, and I

am committed to creating a safe and supportive space for you to explore your thoughts

and emotions without judgment.

My therapeutic style is eclectic and flexible, often using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

(CBT) to explore how your thoughts influence your actions and emotions. I’m also

trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a method that

helps process past experiences with present understanding. Certified in Rational Emotive

Behavior Therapy (REBT), I assist in challenging negative thought patterns, and as a

CAMS-certified clinician, I work collaboratively with you to manage suicidal thoughts

and build hope. Currently training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and certified

in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), I also use my Play Therapy

certification skills to help children express and navigate their emotions. My goal is to

support you in a way that best suits your individual situation, and I’m committed to

working with you to find the methods that will be most effective in helping you achieve
